About us
About us
We are a family-owned property where the land has been plowed, treated, and cultivated for decades using natural techniques. Our farm consists of approximately 7,000 Hass avocado trees, which were grown from cloned plants, and now produce high-quality fruits. We respect human values, and all external inputs are inspected according to the same sustainability criteria we apply within our own operations. We see ourselves as “tenants of nature,” as the space we occupy and the land where we grow our fruits belong to it. It is with nature that we learn to live in harmony and balance, dealing with the challenges of agricultural activity and the current climatic uncertainties.
Avocado production requires not only investment but also a great deal of determination, discipline, and, above all, skilled and dedicated professionals. These talents are essential in transforming, over the years, small and fragile seedlings into strong, fruit-bearing trees. We believe in the concept that drives our business: to produce delicious and healthy fruits commercially, internationally certified and meeting the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and social responsibility—from seed to you.

A company focused on producing avocados for both export and the domestic market. Located in Torre de Pedra, São Paulo, at km 167 of the Castelo Branco Highway, the orchard features 7,000 productive, irrigated plants spread across 50 hectares. The estimated production for the coming years is around 300 tons of avocados per harvest. The company also has manufacturing facilities covering 500 square meters on a 30,000 square meter area, where it will soon produce olive oil and other commercial products derived from avocados.

The estimated production for the coming years is around 300 tons of avocados per harvest. The company also operates manufacturing facilities occupying 500 square meters on a 30,000-square-meter site, where it will soon produce avocado oil and other commercial products. The property’s native forests, alongside the avocado orchards, will be incorporated into educational and ecotourism projects aimed at promoting the nutritional benefits of avocados, which are still not widely recognized in Brazil.
In 2024, we planted 26,000 new native Atlantic Forest tree seedlings on our properties, particularly focused on the preservation of springs and watercourses. The reforestation project, already underway, will ultimately involve the planting of 50,000 native trees, complementing the existing forests.
The fruits produced by Greenstone are certified with Global Gap/Grasp, and our professionals undergo systematic training and certification in various skills, from planting to selective harvesting of the fruit.
The design, implementation, and ongoing care of the agricultural planning have been led and are continuously supervised by Dr. Tatiana Cantuárias, PhD in Phytotechnics from the University of São Paulo, School of Agriculture, and Master in Agriculture from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Faculty of Agriculture, Rehovot, Israel, where she studied avocado stress physiology for seven years. She holds a PhD and post-doctorate from the Department of Plant Production, ESALQ/USP, Piracicaba/SP, Brazil. She is also an agronomist from the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences.
The Greenstone project, led by Dr. Tatiana Cantuárias, follows several core principles, as she herself states: “More than ever, it is necessary to reduce the negative impact of human intervention on natural resources and restore the biological quality of the soil, as well as its ability to self-regenerate its chemical and physical quality. Only then will we be able to efficiently produce fruits with greater nutritional value, better health, and superior commercial quality, without compromising productivity.” For Dr. Tatiana Cantuárias, it is essential to implement practices that restore soil life under drought conditions. To achieve this, she emphasizes the need to move sclerophyllous forest into avocado orchards as an alternative to restore microbial biodiversity in the soil.

Why We Chose Avocados?
Why We Chose Avocados?
Our decision to cultivate Hass avocados goes beyond simply producing food. We aim to create something that has a positive impact, not just for people, but for the planet as a whole. Planting fruit trees like avocados is a way to complement the forests, integrating our production with the native woodlands already present on the property. This harmonious interaction creates a living ecosystem where nature is both respected and enhanced.

Furthermore, avocados are fruits that many people are still unaware of, especially in terms of their incredible nutritional properties. They are a source of health in a natural, rich, and delicious form. We believe that producing such a beneficial food contributes to people’s well-being, promoting healthier eating habits and a more balanced lifestyle.
Planting forests and growing fruits alongside them is, for us, a legacy. It is an example of how we can and should coexist with nature, respecting it and learning from it. This coexistence is not only for our immediate benefit, but also for the preservation of life on the planet – for the fauna, the flora, and for future generations. It is our way of showing that when we take care of the land, it takes care of all of us.
